BHOGA OFFERINGS

Krishna Avanti Primary school has a strict No-Nuts policy. This means no nuts of any kind are allowed on the premises. This is to safeguard those children (and adults) who may suffer allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, from contact with nuts.  (Statistics show 1 in 50 children and 1 in 200 adults have nut allergies in the UK.)

We wish to give the opportunity to all devotees to bring offerings for Radha Krishna, Bal Gopal and Gaura Nitai on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmastami. However to respect the school rules we will need to introduce some further safeguards. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. 🙏

1. All offerings must be Ekadasi-friendly on Janmastami. i.e. no grains, no beans.

2. No items with meat, fish, eggs, onion, garlic, or mushrooms.*

3. No items to contain any nuts at all, including nut oils.**

4. Offerings to be brought in new containers and labelled.

5. No liquid items that can spill from containers.

6. Please chant Hare Krishna Maha-mantra or sing/ listen to kirtan whilst preparing offerings.

7. Offerings will be accepted at the school until 10pm. Bhoga offerings will be made at various times during the evening and distributed as prashadam to guests.

*If you eat non-veg or cook non-veg at home, it is best to bring fruits.
**Nuts include peanuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, pecan etc.

Seeds and seed oils are ok.

All Ekadasi offerings will be accepted at the temple (including with nuts) and distributed as prashadam to devotees coming for darshan at the temple. Last offering will be 4.30pm at the temple.
